Okanagan Valley EH!
Eneas Lake Park
The Eneas Lake Park is best suited for the wilderness explorer. The park is more on the rough side, yet rough means closer to nature and the wilderness environment many of us crave. The park was established in 1968 to protect the Thompson plateau landscape.
The Eneas Lake Park trail system is lined with fir and pine trees providing shade from the sun, ideal for wilderness backpackers looking to explore deep into the Okanagan Valley wilderness so to hunker down at night and absorb the sounds of nature while camping under the stars in a tent. This is no RV Park.
Many of the explorers arriving at Eneas Lake Park set a course hiking to one of the four lakes within this beautiful park. The lakes make this park an ideal destination for any backpacker who wishes to go for a swim to cool down after a long hike or cast a line fishing. Every explorer should make a note to bring a camera on this trip as there are many opportunities to view wildlife.
How to Get to Eneas Lake Park:
The Eneas Lake Park is no easy feat to reach. Off road vehicles are recommended. The park is 20 km west of the community of Peachland, BC off of Prairie Valley Road.
